Testing Blog Posts

Testing . . . 1, 2, 3, testing . . . This is in an attempt to post a blog on my website www.c-crafts.com in hopes that I have followed the process correctly for the blog to post automatically to my facebook account. To make this happen was possible through the step-by-step instructions provided by Google. This will be the beginning of my blogging plan as a writer. I have been writing for several years. Prior to my attempts to write with purpose, with a plan, and to learn more about writing, I published one article in 2015 in the November/December issue of OfficePRO Magazine. This magazine, at the time, was published by the International Association of Administrative Professionals. This was a time when I was very active in various administrative and human resource organizations. My 36-year career gave me opportunities to hold many different administrative positions including human resources responsibilities. After retiring from my 36-year career on January 1, 2021, my journey has continued in many different areas of careers and life events. I’ve learned that there is a difference between working when you have to work and working when you want to work along with following your passions. When you work doing what you love then you never have to work another day in your life. More to come on this later!

Blog

Hi everyone. I had the most amazing experience this morning on my walk that I wanted to share. I live in upstate New York, a small hometown community where, in today’s world, we lock our doors at night but feel pretty safe out in public, although I try to keep my walks and runs on sidewalks along busier roads. There is a local motorcycle group that gathers every year for an event called “American Pride Ride” and as I was walking through our small quaint village, passing by me was a NY state trooper car and following behind was about 75 motorcycles some with the American flag attached and flailing in the wind. Being an aspired writer and working on a book about working out and journaling my thoughts went to being grateful and content with this wonderful beautiful country we live in. When I walk I keep in mind “it’s not about losing weight, it’s about being healthy” and I try to keep that as my focus. The purpose for my walks is to help me build up to running (I have a great plan I will share in my book), I had built up to a “walk 4 minutes, run 2 minutes” combination until surgery date came about for removal of skin cancer on the side of my face. Doctors orders were to do nothing for 48 hours then no exercise, bending, or lifting for a week. Today was my first day back at exercising starting off with a 30 minute fast walk.
